How We Do It
At Angels for Pets, we offer four unique individual cremation packages to ensure we meet the needs of every pet owner. Our packages are as follows:
- Ashes returned in an urn
- Ashes returned in a scatter box
- Ashes spread in our rose garden or native land
- Velvet bag package
- Please note, there is a 60kg weight limit
All the above packages can include a clipping of fur, a cremation certificate with photo, a paw print and more. We will collect your pet from your vet and return the ashes once the process is complete (weight limits of 60kg apply). Once we have collected the pet from the vet, we will send you an email confirmation. Invoices are sent within two days and cremation is provided upon the receipt of payment. The pet’s ashes will be returned to the vet within 10 – 12 business days after full payment has been received.

Queensland pet owners are allowed to spread their pet’s ashes in public areas, providing that it does not cause a nuisance to other members of the public. In addition, the ashes must be scattered in an area that is not frequented by people and is away from water courses and waterways. Before scattering your pet’s ashes, it is important to check with the local council to ensure that there are no restrictions in place.
If stored in an airtight container, pet ashes can last for many years. It is important to keep the ashes in a dry and cool place to prevent them from decomposing. Storing them in an urn or a scatter box is recommended.
The best way to store pet ashes is in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid. It must also be kept away from sunlight and sources of heat. Most pet cremation services will store the ashes in an urn or a scatter box.
